Edmonton Oilers left winger Raffi Torres will undergo knee surgery and will be lost to the team for the remainder of the season.

The 6’0”, 216-pound native of Toronto, Ontario will have surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. Torres tore the ligament in the Oilers’ December 13th game at Detroit and has missed Edmonton’s last 10 games (December 15 to January 5).

Torres scored 11 points on five goals and six assists with 36 penalty minutes in 32 games prior to the injury.
