Petry named to U.S. Men's National Team

U.S.A. Hockey announced today Edmonton Oilers defenceman Jeff Petry has been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team, which will participate at the 2013 World Hockey Championship, May 3-19, in Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden.

Petry, 25, has appeared in 46 games this season, recording 12 points (3G, 9A) and 27 penalty minutes. He leads the Oilers in average ice time with 21:54 per game, is second on the team in hits (111) and third in blocked shots (80).

The Farmington Hills, Michigan native made his international debut last year, representing the U.S.A at the 2012 World Hockey Championship.
