It's been a long time since Iiro Pakarinen last got to play a game.

The Oilers forward suffered a lower body injury on October 2, 2016, in a pre-season game against the Los Angeles Kings. Pakarinen has missed the entire Oilers schedule but skated in two games with the Bakersfield Condors on the weekend.

"I'm good," Pakarinen said. "It was a long break from the game, almost 12 months but I got those two games and I feel better and better all the time. My knee feels very good."

The Loviisa, Finland native was on an all-Finnish line in the two matches. Pakarinen and Jesse Puljujärvi flanked Jere Sallinen.

"It's good for me to be here and get my conditioning back and get my rhythm in my legs going," Pakarinen said. "I really like this team and it's good that we have a couple Finnish players here, too."

In 80 career NHL games the 25-year-old has 16 points.
