Oilers welcome the festive season with Ornaments of Hope presented by ATB

Edmonton, AB - For the last 30 years the Oilers have supported the Christmas Bureau and once again this tradition will continue. The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and the Oilers Ladies are launching Ornaments of Hope. This program gives Oilers fans three ways to participate:

  • On December 19 signed Ornaments of Hope will be available in-game for $20 on the main concourse.
  • Ornaments of Hope Online Auction runs from December 2 – 17, to bid visit
  • Visit an Edmonton area ATB Financial branch to purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a set of team signed ornaments.
“Ornaments of Hope is a new program that gives our fans the opportunity to help the Christmas Bureau provide festive meals to Edmonton’s less fortunate,” said Natalie Minckler, EOCF’s Executive Director. “The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and the team have a longstanding tradition of supporting the Christmas Bureau and we’re proud to once again be doing so.”

ATB Financial is joining forces with the Oilers for Ornaments of Hope giving fans the opportunity to win a full set of ornaments personally signed by 23 Oilers players. Visit your local Edmonton area ATB Financial branch to see the ornaments on display and purchase raffle tickets for $5 each or five for $20. Each branch will be raffling off one set of ornaments; tickets will be on sale from December 1 – 24.

"When it comes to raising money for a favourite charity of both our organizations, ATB Financial and the Oilers are a winning team," said John Windwick, ATB Financial's Vice President, Community and Government Relations. "The Christmas Bureau is a perfect way for our customers and associates to celebrate the season in Oil Country."

The Ornaments of Hope Online Auctions gives fans access to 85 items ranging from Oilers memorabilia, Oilers autographed game-used equipment to vintage Boys on the Bus pieces. The auction opens today at 4:00pm MST and runs until 8:30pm MST on December 17. Visit regularly to bid on items.

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is dedicated to building strong and vibrant communities by contributing its resources and financial support to charitable organizations that serve the residents of Oil Country. The EOCF has worked to change lives in Oil Country through their support of a host of deserving organizations. The Foundation gives back in excess of $1 million annually to registered charities throughout Central and Northern Alberta who focus their activities on youth, education and health and wellness.
