The Oilers have traded winger Nail Yakupov to the St. Louis Blues, in exchange for a conditional 2017 third-round pick and Zach Pochiro.

The conditional pick becomes a second-round selection in 2018 if Yakupov scores 15 or more goals during the 2016-17 season.

Yakupov was taken first overall in 2012, and has played 252 NHL games for Edmonton. He scored 50 goals and recorded 61 assists for 111 career points as an Oiler.

Pochiro, 22, is a centre from Las Vegas, NV. He was taken in the fourth round, 112th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft. Pochiro played 44 games in the ECHL last season, scoring nine goals and adding 17 assists.
