Rexall Flu Shot

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oilers are teaming up with Rexall Drugstore to help fans prevent the flu. Rexall will be onsite at two Oilers home games on November 29 vs. Toronto and December 11 vs. Winnipeg, offering the flu shot to fans over the age of nine. Flu shots will be available starting at 3:00 PM in Ford Hall and are available to all fans with or without a ticket to the game at this location only. Vaccinations will continue inside Rogers Place in the Rexall Neighborhood on the main concourse during these games and fans will require a ticket for entry.

"We're delighted to partner with Rexall on this public health initiative," said Oilers Entertainment Group CEO Bob Nicholson. "We want our fans to stay healthy and cheer on the Oilers throughout the season and a flu shot is an important way to do that."
Coinciding with the Oilers regular season, flu season generally lasts from October to March. It's very important to take steps to stay healthy and minimize the spread of germs during this time. Washing your hands frequently, keeping your hands away from your face and coughing and sneezing into your arm, not your hand, are all simple steps that can help prevent the spread of the flu virus.
"It's often said, the best offence is a good defence and there is no better defence for protecting your family, friends, co-workers and yourself from getting sick than getting a flu shot," said Jürgen Schreiber Rexall CEO.
Rexall is committed to making it easier for patients to get a flu shot any time, any day, with no appointment necessary. Fans who are unable to attend one of the games mentioned above can visit rexall.ca/storelocator to find a Rexall location closest to them to receive their flu shot.
Edmonton Oilers hockey is presented by Molson Canadian, Rogers, Ford, Scotiabank and the Rexall Family of Pharmacies.
