The Edmonton Oilers have signed winger Milan Lucic to a seven-year contract.
Lucic, 28, appeared in 81 games with Los Angeles last season, posting 55 points (20G, 35A), 79 penalty minutes and a plus 26 rating. He ranked fourth on the Kings in points (55), goals (20), and assists (35), as well as ranked third in game winning goals (5) and plus/minus (+26).
The 6'3", 233-pound forward has appeared in 647 career National Hockey League games with the Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings, accumulating 397 points (159G, 238A) and 851 penalty minutes. Lucic has made it to the post season in eight of his nine NHL seasons, appearing in 101 career playoff games, recording 64 points (26G, 38A) and 159 penalty minutes, including winning a Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011.
The Vancouver, British Columbia native was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 50th overall in the 2006 NHL Draft.
