Oilers Show Their Stuff at McDonald's Superskills

Have you ever wondered which player on the Edmonton Oilers is the fastest skater, or has the hardest shot? You can find out when the Oilers host McDonald's Superskills on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Rexall Place.

    McDonald's Superskills is a fan-focused skills competition benefiting three charities that pits Oilers players against each other in an exciting demonstration of hockey skills. Individual competitions in McDonald's Superskills include:
    • Puck Control Relay - Watch Oilers demonstrating their stick handling ability
    • Fastest Skater - Witness the exceptional speed of NHL players on their skates
    • Hardest Shot - See the power of a perfectly timed slapshot
    • Accuracy Shooting - Marvel at the precision of an NHL snapshot
    • Breakaway Relay - Cheer on the most exciting moment in all of sports
    Assisting the Oilers throughout the day will be the Whitemud West Pee Wee hockey team, Edmonton's representative at this February's Quebec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournament.

    In addition to the thrilling skills competition, all fans in attendance will receive an exclusive Oilers poster, and will have an opportunity to Chuck-A-Puck for a number of prizes.

    Proceeds from McDonald's Superskills will benefit the Northern Alberta Ronald McDonald House, the NHLPA Goals and Dreams Fund and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
