Oilers reduce roster by eight

Kyle Brodziak has been sent to Wilkes-Barre

The Edmonton Oilers have reduced their training camp roster to 37 players with eight transactions today.

Six of the eight transactions involved player assignments to American Hockey League affilitates, while one player was returned to his junior team and another was released.

  • Kyle Brodziak (C), Liam Reddox (LW) and Tim Sestito (LW) have been assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, while Stephane Goulet (LW) and Brock Radunske (LW) were sent to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Zack Stortini (LW) has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

    Vyacheslav Trukhno (LW) was returned to the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL and J.J. Hunter (RW) was released.
