The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Zack Stortini from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The 63", 215-pound native of Elliot Lake, Ontario was the Oilers fifth choice (3rd round) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and is now in his second full season in the Edmonton organization.

  • The 21-year-old winger scored 6-0-6 and was +1 with 60 penalty minutes in 16 games with Hamilton. He was 10th on the Bulldogs scoring list at the time of his recall and was tied for the team lead in goals. His 60 penalty minutes led Hamilton and ranked fourth in the AHL.

    Stortini spent 2005-06 in the AHL, splitting the season between the Iowa Stars and the Milwaukee Admirals. He scored 2-1-3 with 108 PIM in 27 games with Iowa and had 0-7-7 with 153 PIM in 37 games at Milwaukee.
