Oilers recall Theo Peckham

by Edmonton Oilers Press Release / Edmonton Oilers
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today that the Edmonton Oilers have placed defenceman Denis Grebeshkov on the NHL Injured Reserve List retroactive to November 1st and have recalled defenceman Theo Peckham from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Grebeshkov has missed the last two Oilers’ games (November 2nd at Philadelphia and November 5th at Columbus) after suffering an upper body injury in Edmonton’s 3-1 win at Carolina on November 1st. He had scored a goal and four assists in 10 games prior to the injury.

This will be Peckham’s second recall to the Oilers this season, having previously joined the team on October 23rd.

With Springfield the 6’2”, 223 pound defenceman has scored two goals and three assists in nine games to rank fifth in scoring on the Oilers’ AHL affiliate. Both of his goals have come on the powerplay and he is even with 24 penalty minutes.

Peckham will wear #49 with the Oilers.

The Edmonton Oilers 30th Anniversary Season is presented in part by the Rexall Family of Pharmacies, Bell, Molson Canadian, ATB Financial and Ford.
