Oilers recall Petry; assign Plante

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Jeff Petry and assigned defenceman Alex Plante to Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.

Petry, 23, has played in 21 games with the Oilers this season recording three points (1G,2A). The 6’3”, 196-pound Ann Arbor, Michigan native has also appeared in 41 games for the Barons scoring seven goals and adding 17 assists for 24 points.
Petry was originally recalled by Edmonton in December and returned to Oklahoma City February 14.
Plante, 21, was recalled by the Oilers on March 4 and appeared in three games collecting 11 penalty minutes. The 6’3”, 225-pound Brandon, Manitoba native has a goal and 10 assists as well as 112 penalty minutes in 57 games this season with the Barons.
