Oilers recall O'Marra

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled centre Ryan O’Marra from Springfield of the American Hockey League.

O’Marra, 22, has two goals and two assists in 15 games this year. Last season he had 10 points (1G, 9A) with 49 PIM.

The Mississauga, ON native will be playing his first National Hockey League game tonight against the Ottawa Senators. He was originally drafted in the 1st round (15th overall) by the New York Islanders in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
