With injuries up front to Shawn Horcoff, Ryan Smyth and Todd Harvey, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Kyle Brodziak from the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League. Brodziak will make his NHL debut tonight against the Calgary Flames.
In two games with the Stars so far this season, Brodziak, 21, has one assist and two penalty minutes. Last year in his first professional season, he had six goals and 26 assists for 32 points in 56 games with the Edmonton Road Runners of the AHL.

The St. Paul, Alberta native played four seasons with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL. In 273 career games, he had 81 goals and 104 assists for 185 points and 247 penalty minutes. In 2003-04 he posted career highs with 39 goals, 54 assists and 93 points.
