General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenseman Theo Peckham
on a one-year contract.
Peckham, 22, played 15 games late last season collecting an assist and 43 penalty minutes for the Oilers. The assist was his first NHL point, scored against Nashville on March 2, 2010. He also spent time in Springfield where he saw action in 37 games with the Falcons recording six assists and 106 penalty minutes.
The 6’2”, 223lbs rearguard was selected by Edmonton in the 3rd round, 75th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. In 31 NHL games he has one assist and 104 PIM. Peckham has also played in 143 games with the Falcons scoring 12 goals and 26 assists with 387 PIM.
