General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have re-signed defenceman Theo Peckham
to a one-year contract.

Peckham, 23, played 71 games last season with the Oilers scoring three goals and adding 10 assists along with 198 penalty minutes, which was third highest in the NHL.
The 6’2”, 235-pound rearguard has played in 102 career NHL games collecting 14 points (3G, 11A) and 302 penalty minutes.
Peckham, who is from Richmond Hill, Ontario, was drafted by the Oilers in the 3rd round, 75th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, after three seasons with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League where he had 618 PIM in 181 games. RELATED: Oilers sign RW Ryan Keller
The Oilers also announced they have agreed to terms with goaltender Yann Danis
on a one-year contract.
Danis, 30, spent last season with Amur Khabarovsk in the KHL.
The 6’0, 185-pound Lafontaine, Quebec native has played in 45 career NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils collecting a 16-20-3 record, 2.72 GAA and .912 save percentage.
Danis played four seasons with Brown University in the ECAC where he won multiple awards, including 2004 ECAC Player and Goaltender of the Year and was also a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award.
