Team USA fell behind early by a score of 2-0 but rallied to tie it up. Canada scored two quick goals early in the third to once again gain a two-goal advantage at 4-2 but it was quickly erased.

Throughout the tournament, Jones was +2 with two assists through seven games. He was second on the team with an average of 23:08 of icetime.

It was USA's first Gold Medal since 2013 and fourth overall. It was Canada's ninth Silver Medal.
