Just The Facts...

OILERS TO WATCH: Wild killer Geoff Sanderson faces Minnesota for the first time in two seasons. In 15 career games against the Wild, Sanderson has scored 14 goals. Sanderson's line, along with Kyle Brodziak and Marty Reasoner, have been very effective defensively for Coach MacTavish. All three players are tied for the team lead with a +3 rating... Ales Hemsky is still looking for his first goal of the season. He's come close on several occasions and has made some great plays en route to his team-leading three assists in three games.

WILD TO WATCH: Minnesota's Derek Boogaard was a factor in many of the games last season between the Oilers and Wild. One of the club's goals tonight will be to neutralize the giant by not letting him be a factor... The Wild's line of Pavol Demitra, Wes Walz and Marian Gaborik is still trying to find its game this season. None of the three players have registered a point yet in 07-08.

Depending on the game situation, Cogliano and Stoll will switch between lines two and four; Minnesota – Dominic Moore (abdominal strain) is out.

OILERS NO LONGER FODDER FOR BOOGIE MAN - The Edmonton Oilers have already shown through three regular season games that they are a faster, more offensively-oriented club than last season. That should make things a lot more difficult on Minnesota’s resident enforcer. ...more
