Oilers assign three

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have assigned centre Chris VandeVelde, left-winger Teemu Hartikainen and defenceman Colten Teubert to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

VandeVelde, 25, has played 65 games this season with the Barons recording 22 points (7G, 15A). In 132 career AHL games, the Moorhead, MN native has 38 points (19G, 19A).
The 6'2", 204-pound centre also has 16 career NHL games under his belt with the Oilers collecting his first NHL goal on March 25, as well as two assists.

Hartikainen, 21, played 17 games with the Oilers this season scoring two goals and three assists. In 28 career NHL games the native of Kuopio, Finland has 10 points (5G, 5A).

Hartikainen, who is 6'1, 215-pounds, has also appeared in 48 games with the Barons this year collecting 30 points (14G, 16A).

Teubert, 22, had one assist and 25 penalty minutes in the 24 games he saw action with the Oilers this season.

In 43 games with the Barons, the 6'4, 201-pound White Rock, BC native has 10 points (2G, 8A) and 58 penalty minutes.
