Oilers assign three

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have assigned defenceman Taylor Chorney, left-winger Teemu Hartikainen and right-winger Magnus Paajarvi to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Paajarvi, 20, has four assists this season in 33 games with the Oilers.
The 6’2”, 204-pound Norrkoping, Sweden native has also appeared in 10 games with the Barons scoring once and adding eight assists.

Chorney, 24, has played 25 games with the Barons this season recording 11 points (3G, 8A). He has also appeared in five NHL games with the Oilers and St. Louis Blues.

In 61 career games the 6’1”, 189-pound Thunder Bay, Ontario native has one goal and six assists.
Hartikainen, 21, has 19 points (9G, 10A) in 29 games  with the Barons. He has also played in five games with the Oilers this season.

The 6’1”, 215-pound Kuopio, Finland native has played in 17 career NHL games with Edmonton collecting three goals and two assists.
