Oilers announce 2008-09 pre-season schedule

The Edmonton Oilers will open their 30th season in the NHL with a seven-game pre-season schedule, including four home games and three away games.

 
Edmonton will open the pre-season with four games in four nights from September 22nd to 25th, with three of the four games being played at Rexall Place. The Oilers open the pre-season with a home-and-home series against the Vancouver Canucks on September 22nd and 23rd. After hosting the Canucks in their pre-season opener on September 22nd, the Oilers will visit General Motors Place in Vancouver on September 23rd. They then return home to host the Florida Panthers in back-to-back games on September 24th and 25th.

Edmonton’s final home pre-season game will see the Oilers host the Calgary Flames on September 30th. The Oilers conclude the pre-season with road games at Calgary and Dallas on October 3rd and 5th.
