General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with centre Rob Schremp on a one-year contract.
Schremp, the Oilers second choice, 25th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, spent the majority of last season with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. Appearing in 69 games for the Oilers’ top affiliate, he scored seven goals and 35 assists for 42 points.
Schremp saw action in four games for the Oilers last season collecting three assists, including scoring his first NHL point.
The 23-year-old New York native was a former OHL Scoring Champion and First-Team All-Star in 2006 with the London Knights, where he had a stellar junior career scoring 384 points in his 247 games played.VIEW ROB SCHREMP'S BIO & STATISTICS
