General Manager Craig MacTavish announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with forward Linus Omark on a one-year contract.
Omark, 26, spent the 2012-13 season with Zug in the Swiss Elite League, registering more than a point per game, collecting 69 points (17G, 52A) in 48 games played. His 52 assists and 69 points were both team highs.
The Overtornea, Sweden native spent two seasons with the Edmonton Oilers (2010-2012), recording 30 points (8G, 22A) in 65 career games. The 5’10, 174-pound winger also spent time with the Oilers American Hockey League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons, registering 47 points (20G, 27A) in 46 games.
The Oilers selected Omark in the 4th round, 97th overall in the 2007 NHL Draft.
