Oilers agree to terms with Lander

The Edmonton Oilers announced today, they have agreed to terms with centre Anton Lander on a two-year contract extension.

Lander, 23, has appeared in 33 games with the Oilers this season, posting 17 points (6G, 11A) and 10 penalty minutes. He has established career highs in points (17), goals (6) and assists (11) this season.

The Sundsvall, Sweden native has accumulated 25 points (8G, 17A) and 28 penalty minutes in 127 career NHL games.

The 6'0", 186-pound centre also spent time this season captaining the American Hockey League's Oklahoma City Barons, registering 31 points (9G, 22A) and 20 penalty minutes in 29 games. Lander has posted 108 points (37G, 71A) and 82 penalty minutes in 136 career AHL games.

Lander was selected by the Oilers in the 2nd round, 40th overall in the 2009 NHL Draft.
