Oilers agree to terms with Anton Belov

General Manager Craig MacTavish announced Thursday that the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenceman Anton Belov on a one-year entry-level contract.

Belov, 26, has spent the past five seasons with Omsk Avangard of the Kontinental Hockey League. In 2012-13, the 6-foot-4, 212-pound rearguard recorded nine goals, 26 points and a +19 rating in 46 regular-season games.

Internationally, Belov represented Team Russia at the 2013 World Hockey Championship in Stockholm and Helsinki. In eight games, the product of Ryazan, Russia collected four points and a +8 rating.
