Oilers activate Russell; Bear assigned

The Oilers have activated defenceman Kris Russell from Injured Reserve and assigned Ethan Bear to Bakersfield (AHL)

The Edmonton Oilers have activated defenceman Kris Russell from Injured Reserve.
Russell, 31, played in 78 games with the Oilers last season, notching 21 points (4G, 17A) and eight penalty minutes, while leading the league with 223 blocked shots.
The Oilers also announced they have assigned defenceman Ethan Bear to the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors.
