Oilers acquire draft pick

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have acquired a second round choice in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenceman Denis Grebeshkov.

Grebeshkov, 26, has appeared in 47 games this season for the Oilers recording six goals and 13 assists. In 223 career games he has 16 goals and 66 assists with the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers.

The Yaroslavl, Russia native also represented Team Russia in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games last month.
