Team Canada has all the pressure on them. Team North America is just focused on being the underdog at the World Cup of Hockey, and maybe making some noise.
"When you put on the Canadian jersey, that comes with all the pressure to win and all that," said Team North America captain Connor McDavid. "Team Canada has all the pressure on them to win in Toronto. For us, we're not really feeling too much pressure. Nobody is really expecting us to win, which is nice. We believe in ourselves and we'll do good."
Despite showing some offensive explosiveness in the pre-tournament games, McDavid still feels "underdog" is an applicable name to the team.
"I still think we're kind of pegged that way," he said. "People think a little bit more of us after the exhibition rounds but I think we're still definitely the underdogs in this tournament. That's something we're excited about. There's not really much pressure on us, that's for sure."
