Nash, Eberle among 45 invited to WJC camp

Edmonton Oilers 2007 and 2008 first round draft choices Riley Nash and Jordan Eberle have been selected to join Canada's National Junior Team at their Summer Development Camp from July 25 to 29 in Ottawa, ON.Nash, the Oilers’ third choice in the first round (21st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft enjoyed a stellar freshman season with the Cornell Big Red of the ECAC. Scoring at almost a point-per-game pace with 12-20-32 in 36 games en route to rookie-of-the-year honours. He was Cornell’s first Ivy League rookie of the year since the 1998-99 season. He was one of only two freshman named to the Ivy League’s all-star teams as he was selected to the second all-star team.


Jordan Eberle was Edmonton's first choice, 22nd overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In only his second season in the Western Hockey League, he led the Regina Pats in scoring with 42 goals and 75 points.
