Edmonton Oilers captain Ethan Moreau visited Inner City High this afternoon where he donated several winter coats to the students.

Moreau personally purchased the coats and is turning them over to Inner City High for distribution to the students who are acutely in need of a warm winter coat.

“I’ve been to Inner City on many occasions along with every other Oiler teammate and it was noticeable during a visit just before Christmas that a few of the kids looked like they would really appreciate a new warm coat.  It’s a simple thing to make happen and I’m happy to help out,” stated Moreau.

Edmonton Inner City High receives support and funding from the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and is considered by Executive Director Natalie Minckler to be an important EOCF beneficiary.

Minckler says, “We’ve had Ethan and the Oilers at Inner City High many times and Ethan has always been very supportive of the students there.  I’m not surprised at all that he would take this kind of initiative and support like this from the players speaks volumes.”
