4:48: Oilers had a couple of good chances to break the deadlock but Jones stood tall in the Sharks net. Shots are 7-4 for San Jose with just under five minutes to go in the first.

26.6: After Khaira lays out a Sharks player behind the net, he and Brenden Dillon engage in a lengthy fight late in the first period. Neither fighter goes down after plenty of punches. 13:38: Leon Draisaitl converts on a rush up the ice. In a nice three way passing play, Taylor Hall dished the puck to Teddy Purcell who backhanded it to Draisaitl sending him in all alone. Draisaitl made no mistake, picking the corner on Jones to put Edmonton in front. | EDM 1, SJ 0

11:55: The physical play continued as Luke Gazdic dropped the gloves with Mike Brown after Brown hammered Brandon Davidson behind the Edmonton net but this one ended almost as quickly as it began.

11:48: Darnell Nurse gets two minutes for clearing the puck over the glass.

3:09: Nilsson makes a couple of big stops against Tommy Wingels from point-blank range.

4:37: Oilers pulled back on even terms with 4:37 to play. Iiro Pakarinen's off-balance wrist shot from the top of the left circle beat a screened Jones to make it a tie game once again. | EDM 3, SJ 3

3:53: Taylor Hall took a delay of game penalty, giving the Sharks a late power play chance to get the go-ahead goal.
