Oilers Injury Report >>

FIRST PERIOD

20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

19:30: Only 30 seconds into the game, Edmonton takes a penalty. Mark Fayne heads to the box for slashing, giving the Jets the game's first man advantage.

15:41: Oilers kill off the penalty. Shots on goal are 3-0 Jets early on.

12:45: Bryan Little broke in alone on a breakaway and tried to go five-hole but Laurent Brossoit was solid in denying the Jets centre to keep the game scoreless.

9:56: Pakarinen looked to have injured himself on a collision with Mark Scheifele. What followed was some fisticuffs between Hendricks and Byfuglien. Hendricks got his eye busted up in the semi-fight. End result of everything was an Edmonton power play after Mathieu Perreault cross-checked Pakarinen as he was trying to get back to the Oilers bench.

7:56: Jets kill off the penalty. Shots are now 5-3 for Winnipeg.

5:47: Andrew Ladd got two minutes for hooking and Yakupov two for embellishment to create a four-on-four situation for the next two minutes.

3:28: Oilers have a couple of good chances during the four-on-four. Shots now 7-5 Edmonton.

1:41: Pakarinen got dumped deep in the Jets zone by Little, sending the Oilers on the power play for the second time.

0.0: Final shot count after one was 8-5 for the Oilers.

FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two is now underway.

16:14: A tripping penalty to Zack Kassian in the Jets zone put Winnipeg back on the power play for the second time on the night.

13:57: Oilers kill it off and shots are even at 9-9.

12:45: Blake Wheeler converted a pass from Nikolaj Ehlers on a two-on-one to open the scoring. | WPG 1, EDM 0

11:16: The Jets headed back to the power play after Eric Gryba hooked Wheeler in front of the Oilers net.

9:21: Right at the end of the power play, Purcell intercepted a Jets feed and broke in alone on the Winnipeg net. He was slashed at the end by Ehlers but still managed to get the shot off. Pavelec made a big save but Ehlers got two for slashing, turning the Oilers penalty kill into a power play within five seconds.

7:18: Shots are 14-11 for the Jets.

3:37: Oilers get a chance to tie the game on the power play after Adam Lowry takes a holding penalty.

0.0: Shots in the second were 14-6 for the Jets. Overall in the game 19-14 in favour of Winnipeg.

6:43: Shots now 29-16 for Winnipeg.

6:13: After Eberle nearly tucks the puck in short side, McDavid bats the puck out of the air and it rings off the crossbar behind Pavelec.
