FIRST PERIOD

14:12: Over five minutes into the game, the Hurricanes had a 3-1 edge in shots on the Oilers.

15:30: Through almost five minutes of the second period the only two shots on goal have gone to the Hurricanes.

11:40: Leon Draisaitl got clipped with a high stick in the neutral zone, resulting in a penalty to Brock McGinn for high sticking. Edmonton went on the first power play of the game for either side.

9:04: Hurricanes kill off that penalty with ease. Shots are now 15-9 for Carolina.

20:00: The third period is now underway. 12:58: Justin Schultz rings a shot off Cam Ward's mask and knocks it off the Hurricanes netminder.
