13:01: After a near miss on the Oilers end of the ice where the puck bounced off the boards and passed through an unguarded crease with Anders Nilsson out of the net, Edmonton came right back down the ice and scored. Taylor Hall fed the puck to the top of the crease where Leon Draisaitl redirected the puck past Devils goaltender Keith Kincaid. Draisaitl scored the goal, with Hall and Brandon Davidson getting the assists. | EDM 1, NJ 0





9:00: Shots are 6-3 for Edmonton 11 minutes into the game.

4:13: A penalty to Lee Stempniak gives the Oilers the game's first power play.

43.0: Devils kill off that penalty but Kyle Palmieri gets called for hooking, putting Edmonton back on the man advantage.

0.0: The first period is over, with Edmonton outshooting New Jersey 9-4.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two has begun. Oilers have 1:17 remaining on their power play.

13:54: Kyle Palmieri scores to get the game back on even terms just past the period's six-minute mark. Shots are 11-7 for Edmonton. | EDM 1, NJ 1

8:14: A penalty to Anton Lander gives the Devils a chance to tie the game on the power play.

7:07: Eric Gryba gets a holding penalty, resulting in a two-man advantage for 53 seconds for New Jersey.

4:41: Oilers kill off both penalties and Mike Cammalleri slashes the stick out of Gryba's hands in the Edmonton zone, turning the tables and puting the Oilers on the PP. Shots are 15-13 for New Jersey.

17:01: Edmonton heads back on the PP almost three minutes into the final frame after Josefson takes a hooking penalty.

16:37: During a scramble in front, Jordan Eberle tries three or four times to whack the puck over the line. He finally succeeds when his shot goes in off a skate or stick of a Devils player in front. Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins got the  assists. | EDM 3, NJ 1 15:41: Bobby Farnham takes an interference penalty, putting Edmonton right back on the man advantage.

11:16: Matt Hendricks takes a high-sticking penalty, giving the Devils a chance to draw back within a goal on the power play.

9:16: Oilers kill off the penalty.

7:05: Shots on goal are 22-17 for the Oilers in the game (7-1 in the period).

6:42: Mark Letestu's shot from the slot, taking advantage of a Devils turnover finds its way into the back of the net after Kinkaid got a piece of it, but not enough. | EDM 4, NJ 1

3:45: Devils pull their goaltender, looking for an offensive spark.

2:31: Taylor Hall taps the puck into the empty net to make it a 5-1 game. Leon Draisaitl got the lone assist. Shots on goal in the period are now 27-17 for the Oilers (12-1 in the third period). | EDM 5, NJ 1
