20:00: After a pre-game salute to the Edmonton Eskimos, the game is now underway. 17:38: Shots on goal almost three minutes in are 1-1.

7:37: Neither team has had much in the way of bonafide scoring opportunities two-thirds of the way through the first period. Shots are 6-4 in favour of Boston.

6:21: Nilsson snagged a wrist shot from Matt Beleskey with his glove to keep the game scoreless. 5:45: Going back the other way, Leon Draisaitl nearly scored on the open net after deking around Tuukka Rask but could not get a handle on the puck.

1:36: The first penalty of the game goes to Patrice Bergeron for slashing, sending Edmonton on the power play.

0.0: Shots after one period were 10-8 for Edmonton.

20:00: The second period is now underway with 24 more seconds left in the Oilers power play.

19:36: Boston kills off the penalty.

16:47: After Oilers took a 12-8 lead in shots, four rapid shots in succession by Boston -- and four very nice saves by Anders Nilsson made it a 12-12 stalemate on the shot clock three minutes into the second.

15:15: Taylor Hall muscled his way through the neutral zone to create a partial breakaway. His first attempt was stopped by Rask and Eberle's rebound was steered wide by the Bruins netminder. 13:51: Shots on goal are now even at 15-15.

11:13: Eric Gryba hammers Landon Ferraro into the boards but it's a little too long after the puck had passed the Boston forward by so Gryba was sent off for interference. Boston headed to the power play for the first time. 10:17: Nilsson makes a couple of solid stops on the Bruins to keep the game scoreless.

9:37: While shorthanded, Letestu and Hendricks skate in on a two-on-one. Letestu feeds the puck to Hendricks to gets it right back to Letestu for a nice tap-in and a shorthanded goal. | EDM 1, BOS 0

7:47: Loui Eriksson takes a tripping penalty, sending Edmonton back on the power play.

1:33: Torey Krug's wrist shot from 44 feet out with Boston buzzing around the Oilers zone ended up knotting the game up at 1-1. | EDM 1, BOS 1

0:35: Jimmy Hayes received two minutes for high sticking Iiro Pakarinen, sending Edmonton on the PP to end the second.

0.0: Shots on goal after two periods were even at 23-23.

20:00: Period three is now underway.

14:20: Eric Gryba takes two for elbowing to send Boston on a power play opportunity to take the lead.

12:20: The Oilers kill off the penalty and even have another shorthanded chance -- Letestu and Hendricks again -- but this time they don't convert.

10:38: Hendricks finally does convert almost halfway through the third period. He tipped home a feed from the side boards by Letestu. | EDM 2, BOS 1

8:50: Anton Lander gets tripped up by Beleskey and Edmonton heads back on the power play.

4:00: Shots are now 33-28 for Boston with four minutes to go.

3:21: Boston pulls even after a blast Zdeno Chara beats Nilsson to make it a 2-2 game. | EDM 2, BOS 2

1:30: Shots are 35-33 for the Bruins with time winding down in the third period.

0.0: Shots were 36-33 Boston after 60 minutes.

5:00: Overtime is now underway.

2:40: Draisaitl has a chance from in-close and Hall follows up on the rebound but Rask ensures the game remains tied with a nice stop.

1:06: Oilers have another great chance but Nugent-Hopkins is hammered into the post by Beleskey, resulting in an interference call. Edmonton goes on the power play.

1:06: Oilers call their 30-second timeout.

0.0: Oilers have a handful of chances and come within inches of scoring but cannot convert. Shots after 65 minutes are 40-36 for the Bruins.
