20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

19:34: Ryan Murray takes a penalty for tripping Connor McDavid, sending the Oilers on the power play.

17:21: Blue Jackets kill off the penalty, but Oilers had a number of five-star chances and fired five shots on net during the man advantage.

14:25: Draisiatl looked to have injured himself deep in the Blue Jackets zone after getting cross-checked by Justin Falk. He skated off the ice gingerly to seek medical attention but did not leave the bench. 12:15: Draisiatl returned to the ice for his next shift. Shots on goal are 8-1 for Edmonton.

8:45: McDavid made a nice move in the neutral zone to spin away from a check and create a two-on-one situation. He dished it to Griffin Reinhart whose shot was denied by Blue Jackets starting goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, however.

8:35: Moments later, Adam Clendening almost scored on a backhand attempt from in-close but Korpisalo made a save there as well.

8:23: The play went back the other way where Matt Calvert converted on a two-on-one, quickly receiving the pass and flipping it past Talbot to open the scoring. | CBJ 1, EDM 0

4:45: Griffin Reinhart and Nick Foligno each receive two minutes for roughing.

2:09: Matt Hendricks ran some interference at the Blue Jackets blueline, giving Columbus its first power play of the night.

0.0: Oilers kill off the penalty and head into the first intermission down by one but leading 18-8 on the shot clock.

16:58: Eric Gryba's shot from the point found its way past Korpisalo, putting Edmonton on the board 1-0. | EDM 1, CBJ 1

14:41: Brandon Saad wired a shot off the crossbar behind Talbot. That was as close as the Blue Jackets got on their man advantage.

7:51: Falk levelled Hall and fired up the Oilers winger. Eric Gryba then swooped in get some retribution for his teammate. The result was penalties for roughing against Hall, Gryba and Falk. Net is a Columbus power play.

5:53: With one second left in the Gryba penalty, Cam Atkinson tripped up Teddy Purcell to send Edmonton on the man advantage.

5:19: On the power play, McDavid had multiple attempts to score from the side of the net. He couldn't find an opening so he went behind the net and spotted Eberle for an easy tap-in. | EDM 5, CBJ 1

4:23: Fans at Rexall Place chanting "Connor, Connor"

2:52: Clendening receives two minutes for holding, giving Columbus a late man advantage.
