Oilers Injury Report >>

FIRST PERIOD

20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

15:00: Five minutes into the game, the Oilers have carried the play and have the game's only three shots.

12:25: Charle Coyle wired a wrist shot from the left circle that was snagged by the glove of Oilers starting goaltender Cam Talbot.

12:08: The first penalty of the game went to Justin Fontaine of Minnesota, two minutes for hooking. The result was Edmonton's first power play of the night.

10:05: Three seconds after the penalty expired, Lauri Korpikoski backhanded the puck while on one knee after picking up the rebound on a Mark Letestu shot through traffic. The puck slipped just inside the right post past Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper to give Edmonton the lead. | EDM 1, MIN 0

8:58: Shots are now 10-5 for the Oilers.

7:31: Eberle nearly made it a 2-0 game after driving to the net and attempting a backhand from in tight but Kuemper made a nice stop.

3:44: Andrej Sekera was tripped up behind the Oilers net by Mikael Granlund, resulting in Edmonton's second man advantage of the game and period.

0.0: Shots on goal were 13-12 Oilers after the opening 20 minutes.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two starts now.

15:00: The Oilers announce that Matt Hendricks will not return to tonight's game. 14:32: Shots in the second period so far are 4-1 for Minnesota.

13:26: After some sustained Wild pressure in the Oilers end, Andrej Sekera tried to clear the puck out but ended up clearing it over the glass. Result was a delay-of-game penalty to the blueliner and a Wild man advantage, their first of the night.

11:26: Oilers completed an excellent penalty kill where they didn't allow the Wild hardly any time in the attacking zone.

8:56: Right off the draw, Zach Parise corralled the puck in the right circle and wired it glove side past Talbot to tie the game. | MIN 1, EDM 1

6:34: Eberle takes a high-sticking penalty, sending the Wild to the power play for a second time.

3:50: Oilers only have two shots in the second period. Minnesota has seven.

3:36: Letestu took a hooking penalty, hauling down Mikko Koivu in front of the Oilers net to prevent a scoring chance, sending the Wild back on the man advantage.

2:45: McDavid was sprung on a breakaway while shorthanded by Adam Cracknell. McDavid elected to shoot low blocker side and Kuemper turned it away with his pad.

0.0: Shots in the second were 10-4 for the Wild. Overall after 40 minutes, Minnesota had a 22-17 lead on the shot clock.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: Period three has commenced.

16:30: Oilers open the third with a lot more jump than they had in the second, with the first three shots in the period.

8:16: Past the midway point of the third, shots were 24-23 as Oilers continued to tilt the ice in their favour.

7:29: Connor McDavid blazed down the ice gaining full speed through the neutral zone before muscling a wrist shot past Kuemper to put Edmonton back in the lead. | EDM 2, MIN 1

2:49: Oilers kill off the penalty, allowing only one shot.

1:06: With Kuemper out for the extra attacker, Oilers ice the puck. Minnesota calls a timeout.
