FIRST PERIOD
20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

16:41: Calgary rattled off the first four shots of the game through the opening 200 seconds.

13:02: Johnny Gaudreau was buzzing around the Oilers zone and had a couple of good chances, the best being a wrist shot from the slot that Oilers starting goaltender Anders Nilsson had to be sharp in turning away. Shots now 6-0 Flames.

8:00: As the period shifted past the midway mark, Edmonton started to gain some momentum of their own. Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle spent some time in the Calgary zone and off the rush, Purcell, Hall and Draisaitl nearly connected on a three-way passing play. Shots were now 7-4 Flames.

5:32: Sam Bennett picked up a loose puck in the corner and drove to the net. Nilsson spread out his pads along the ice to deny the Flames forward. 3:39: Eberle backhanded the puck from the blueline on net. It was deflected along the way by Benoit Pouliot, sneaking in along the ice inside the far post to put Edmonton on the board. | EDM 1, CGY 0



1:49: Less than two minutes later, Edmonton extended its lead on Pouliot's second of the game. It was a quick bang-bang play set up by Nugent-Hopkins to Pouliot in front of the net. Number 67 quickly redirected it by Ramo for the goal. | EDM 2, CGY 0

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two has started.

16:50: Calgary drew back within a goal 3:10 into the middle frame. T.J. Brodie spotted Gaudreau in the slot and he quickly wristed it glove side past Nilsson. | EDM 2, CGY 1



14:11: The Flames looked to have tied the game after Gaudreau fed the puck to Brodie all alone in front, but Nilsson made an unbelievable save coming across to glove that one out of the air.

12:00: A flurry of activity in the Oilers end by the Flames saw Calgary rattle off seven straight shots on Nilsson.

11:51: The first power play of the game went to Calgary after Justin Schultz held up Sam Bennett in the Edmonton zone.

9:39: Right after the penalty expired, Hall sprung Teddy Purcell on a breakaway. He skated in all alone and fired the puck low glove side on Ramo to move Edmonton back in front by two goals once again. | EDM 3, CGY 1



7:58: Calgary's first penalty of the game comes when Joe Colborne snags Iiro Pakarinen's stick in the corner of the Flames zone.

7:08: While shorthanded, the Flames struck to make it a 3-2 game. Mikael Backlund and Matt Stajan stormed the net, with Stajan eventually grabbing a loose puck in the crease and putting it over the line. | EDM 3, CGY 2



5:02: Shots are 25-18 for Calgary with five minutes to go in the second.

4:12: Matt Hendricks heads to the box and the Flames go back on the power play.

3:13: On that power play, Mark Giordano teed up a one-timer blast from the right point that beat Nilsson high blocker side knotting the game up at 3-3. | EDM 3, CGY 3



31.1: Gaudreau's wrist shot from the left circle beat Nilsson low, giving Calgary their first lead of the game with only 31 seconds to go in the second. | CGY 4, EDM 3

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: Period three is underway. Cam Talbot replaces Nilsson in goal to start the period.

17:20: Oilers rattle off the first three shots of the third period.

12:18: Eight minutes into the third, shots are 4-1 for the Oilers.

6:25: With six-and-a-half minutes to go, shots in the period are 6-2 Oilers. They are 32-26 overall.

3:49: Talbot came up huge, denying Jiri Hudler on a chance off the rush to keep it a one-goal game. On the play, Schultz received two minutes for hooking to send Calgary on the power play.

2:00: With 12 seconds left in the power play, Mark Giordano's shot from the side boards beat a screened Talbot to ice this one. | CGY 5, EDM 3
