FIRST PERIOD

20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

16:57: Oilers got on the board first after Taylor Hall sprinted towards the Coyotes net, receiving a nice feed from Leon Draisaitl. Hall quickly backhanded the puck shortside past Arizona starting goaltender Mike Smith to make it a 1-0 game. | EDM 1, ARI 0

15:34: Nail Yakupov receives two minutes for tripping, sending Arizona on the power play. It's the first man advantage for either team.

13:34: Oilers kill off that penalty.

12:53: It's Edmonton's turn to go on the power play with Arizona's Jordan Martinook receives two minutes for tripping.

11:55: The best chance of that man advantage goes to Arizona as Tobias Rieder gets in behind the Oilers defence and breaks in alone on Edmonton starting goaltender Anders Nilsson. Rieder's shot is stopped by Nilsson.

9:07: Andrej Sekera gets penalized for a hit to the head and the teams continue to trade off power plays.

7:20: Things get ugly near the end of the man advantage with plenty of pushing and shoving after the whistle.

3:38: Shots on goal are 6-4 Oilers near the end of the first.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two is underway with Edmonton on the power play for another 1:45. 

18:40: Klefbom appeared to take a shot in the leg and skated gingerly to the bench to get some treatment. 18:00: Coyotes kill off the penalty. Oilers manage two shots on the PP.

16:11: Klefbom returned to the ice.

12:50: Shots are 14-11 Oilers just over seven minutes into the period.

11:51: Nilsson denied Boyd Gordon and then Martin Hanzal on successive opportunites to keep the game knotted at 1-1. 11:32: Martinook received two minutes for hooking to send the Oilers back on the power play.

2:31: Arizona extended its lead to 3-1 when Stefan Elliott, pinching and stationed in front of the Oilers net, backhanded a rebound past Nilsson. | ARI 3, EDM 1

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: Period three is underway.

15:00: Each team has only one shot on goal through the first five minutes of the third.

9:57: Just past the midway point of the third, shots are now 23-20 for the Oilers.

8:32: The Coyotes strike again to take a three-goal lead. Brad Richardson picked up a rebound in front and backhanded it past Nilsson to give Arizona a 4-1 advantage. | ARI 4, EDM 1
