The Edmonton Oilers have activated defenceman Igor Ulanov from the NHL Injured Reserve List and have assigned centre Kyle Brodziak to the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.

Ulanov was placed on the NHL Injured Reserve List on February 11th after suffering a left rib contusion in the Oilers game versus the Minnesota Wild on February 10th. He missed one game – February 12th vs St. Louis – due to the injury.

Brodziak was recalled from Iowa on February 7th and appeared in three games with the Oilers. It was the third recall of the season for the 62", 198 pound forward, who was previously recalled on October 15th and November 2nd. He is scoreless with four penalty minutes in 10 games with the Oilers in 2005-06.
