Kyle Brodziak and Toby Petersen recalled from Iowa

Both players concluded their 2005-06 AHL seasons earlier this week as Iowa ended its inaugural season with a seven game loss to the Milwaukee Admirals in the opening round of the playoffs.
Brodziak (6'2", 198 pounds) finished ninth in regular season scoring for the Stars with 12-19-31 and 41 PIM in 55 games. He scored three powerplay goals and was tied for sixth in plus/minus at +7. The Oilers' ninth choice in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft scored 1-3-4 in seven playoff games to finish the post-season tied for fourth on the Iowa scoring list.
During the 2005-06 season, Brodziak was recalled to the Oilers on three different occasions, and was scoreless with 4 PIM in 10 games with Edmonton. He made his Oilers/NHL debut on October 15, 2005 at Calgary.
Petersen was Iowa's leading scorer and finished in 17th place in the AHL scoring race with 26-47-73 in 79 games for the Stars. He led Iowa in assists and was tied for second in goals, while finishing third in PPG with nine. He was tied for second in plus/minus at +14 and had 48 PIM.
In the playoffs, Petersen, who signed as a free agent with Edmonton on July 30, 2004, scored 2-4-6 with 2 PIM in seven games.
Petersen has scored 10-16-26 with 8 PIM in 91 career NHL games with Pittsburgh.
