For Oilers great Jari Kurri, walking out onto the Los Angeles stage as one of the top 100 players in NHL history was a tremendous feeling.

The Finnish phenom of the 80's Oilers was a stalwart force alongside Wayne Gretzky. Those two, along with five other former Oilers graced the stage as recognized figures in NHL history.

"It's hard to put into words," Kurri said of the night. "The NHL has such a long history with so many great players and for you to be recognized as well, I don't know. I just want to enjoy it. There were so many players left out, we all know that, and I'm really honoured to be a part of this group."

The other former Oilers were Paul Coffey, Mark Messier, Grant Fuhr, Chris Pronger and Adam Oates.
