Kevin Lowe, part of Hockey Canada’s management team elaborated on the chances of two of his own making the Team Canada Olympic roster for Sochi 2014.
Edmonton Oilers forwards, Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle were both part of the 47 players in attendance at the Olympic Orientation Camp that took place this week.
“They’re both good skaters, Taylor, being the better of the two,” Lowe said. “Jordan is an incredible puck handler and is a very smart player. So, the attributes that we are looking for are guys that can think the game, that are competitive… Both of those players have that. (Players who) can skate, they both can do that…
“Those guys are a little bit younger so they’ll probably have their hands full in terms of making this team but so do a lot of guys. I know they’ll be motivated and if the Oilers can have a good start to the season and those guys play well, then they’ll have a good chance to make the team.”
