8:45: Braden Christoffer received two minutes for interference, sending Winnipeg on the power play with a chance to tie the game up.

4:49: Things get a little chippy between both sides. Result is penalties to Schultz and Lipon, two each for roughing. Time for some four-on-four hockey!  3:58: With 1:09 left in the coincidental minors, Jordan Oesterle holds up Alex Burmistrov on the rush, setting up a four-on-three power play situation for the Jets.

2:49: Just as the Schultz and Lipon penalties expired, Eric Gryba got two minutes, putting the Jets on a five-on-three PP for the next 51 seconds.

1:49: Oilers penalty killers did a great job keeping the Jets at bay. Winnipeg walks away from the two-man advantage empty-handed.

0.0: Shots on goal are 16-10 for Winnipeg after the first.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00:
Period two is now underway.

18:55: Griffin Reinhart's shot from the left point was wired off the post behind Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson.

13:51: Just over six minutes into the period and the only four shots are Edmonton's.

8:48: Matt Hendricks gets a penalty for boarding Scott Kosmachuk in the corner of the Jets zone, sending Winnipeg back to the power play.

5:18: After a nice rush by Braden Christoffer, Justin Schultz narrowly missed on a blast from the left circle that whistled by Hutchinson.

3:47: Cam Talbot had trouble playing the puck behind the net and it nearly resulted in a Jets player wrapping the puck in but the puck slid out of harm's way.

0.0: Shots in the second were 12-8 for the Oilers. Overall through 40 minutes, Jets have a 24-22 shot edge.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00:
The third period has begun. Eric Comrie is now in goal for the Jets.

18:20: Matt Hendricks tried to get to a loose puck in the Winnipeg zone but was upended by Chase DeLeo, setting up Edmonton's first power play since the opening period.

18:10: It didn't take the Oilers long to find the back of the net. Jordan Eberle pounced on a rebound at the top of the Jets crease after Nugent-Hopkins centred it off him. Eberle made no mistake, wristing it blocker side. Benoit Pouliot and Nugent-Hopkins got the assists. | EDM 2, WPG 0

16:11: Oilers finally inch ahead of the Jets in shots, with 25 to Winnipeg's 24.

8:46: A quick snap shot from Adam Lowry at the top of the left circle beat Talbot high and got the Jets on even terms. | EDM 2, WPG 2

2:12: On the penalty shot, Hendricks pulled a fake at the hashmarks before deking to his left and scoring on Comrie. The penalty shot goal also counts as a shorthanded marker. | EDM 3, WPG 2
