FIRST PERIOD

20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

17:00: Oilers had the first two shots on goal in the game, carrying most of the zone time so far.

14:35: Winnipeg started to pick up their play, registering the next five shots on target.

12:28: Drew Stafford picked up the puck in the neutral zone and skated in towards the Oilers goal. His wrist shot from the left circle beat Scrivens five hole to give Winnipeg the lead. | WPG 1, EDM 0



7:25: Oilers start to gain some momentum back, generating some scoring chances. Shots are even at 6-6. 

5:44: Boyd Gordon and Andrew Ference are both not on the team bench. 4:46: Hendricks takes a shift at centre, between Rob Klinkhammer and Taylor Hall.

4:23: A shot by Nikitin deflects off the stick of Blake Wheeler and hits him in the face. Wheeler heads off the ice for repairs.

2:36: Anton Lander, Chris Thorbun and Drew Stafford all head to the box. With the Jets having the extra skater with the penalty, Edmonton takes the game's first power play.

0.0: The first period comes to an end. Shots on goal are 7-6 for Winnipeg.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: Period two starts now. Ference and Gordon are both not on the bench or ice to open the period. Blake Wheeler is not on the Jets bench, either. 

15:46: Just over four minutes into the period, shots on goal were 11-10 for Winnipeg. 15:25: Oilers announce that Boyd Gordon (back) and Andrew Ference (upper body) will both not return to the game.

14:29: Lee Stempniak poked at a loose puck in the crease, beating Scrivens to double the Winnipeg lead. | WPG 2, EDM 0



6:27: Shots are now 19-14 for Edmonton.

4:33: Mark Fayne takes two minutes for slashing Drew Stafford to put Winnipeg back on the power play.

4:29: Stafford draws another penalty, putting the Jets up two men. Martin Marincin got sent off for high sticking.  4:00: Winnipeg makes it 3-0. Tyler Myers wires a shot from the point past Scrivens for the goal. | WPG 3, EDM 0 



1:21: Taylor Hall heads to the box, sending Winnipeg right back on the PP. 0.0: After 40 minutes, shots were 22-15 for the Oilers.

THIRD PERIOD
20:00: The third period is now underway. Mark Fayne returns for the Oilers and Blake Wheeler returns for the Jets. 

18:50: After a fortunate bounce, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scooped up the puck at the left circle and wired it past Pavelec to get the Oilers on the board. | WPG 3, EDM 1





16:48: Tyler Myers received a tripping penalty after upending Nugent-Hopkins as he skated behind the Jets net. Result was an Oilers power play. RNH was shaken up on the play but appeared to be okay.

10:50: After killing off that penalty, Jets head right back to the penalty box. Jacob Trouba receives two minutes for slashing.

9:12: Oilers receive a penalty for having too many men on the ice with 21 seconds left in the Trouba minor.

7:43: Winnipeg converted on the power play. Michael Frolik picked up a rebound in the slot and fired it past a fallen Scrivens to make it a 4-1 game. | WPG 4, EDM 1



6:32: Shots are now 30-22 for the Oil.

0.0: Game comes to an end. Final shot count: 34-24 for Edmonton.
