7:21: Jordan Eberle put the Oilers on the board with a beautiful goal. Eberle came down the right side and deked out Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller with a nifty one-handed move. Taylor Hall and Martin Marincin got the assists. | EDM 1, VAN 0


5:54: Tom Sestito goes for a hit behind the Oilers net and completely misses, falling in the process.



47.0: Luca Sbisa pinched in and blasted home a rebound from the slot past Scrivens to tie the game up. | EDM 1, VAN 1

Second period starts now.

19:45: Taylor Hall goes sliding into the goal post after getting upended after driving to the net. He looks shaken up but skates to the bench under his own strength. 17:33: Canucks pull even in shots at 14-14.

17:18: Jesse Joensuu gets two minutes for hooking, sending Vancouver on the power play for the first time.

11:50: Nick Bonino takes a hooking penalty to give Edmonton its second man advantage of the evening. Oilers announce that Taylor Hall will not return to tonight's game due to a leg injury.  9:50: Oilers are unable to convert on the power play.

8:54: Jordan Eberle gets a roughing penalty.

5:57: Andrew Ference completely lays out Zack Kassian. He gets two minutes for his efforts (illegal check to the head). 

3:37: Tempers flare by the Oilers net.

3:23: Linden Vey bangs home a rebound from the right circle to put Vancouver in the lead for the first time on the night. | VAN 2, EDM 1


2:19: David Perron nets his first of the season to get the home side back on even terms. Perron wires a wrist shot from the right circle past Miller after receiving a nice feed from Leon Draisaitl. | EDM 2, VAN 2

17:22: Kassian gets two for tripping and Oilers head back on the PP.

16:10: Daniel Sedin gets crunched by Nail Yakupov. Moments later, Jordan Eberle breaks in behind the Canucks defence but his backhand attempt misses the net.

15:55: Derek Dorsett wires a shot past Scrivens for a shorthanded goal. | VAN 3, EDM 2


9:10: Shots are 27-24 Vancouver as Oilers press for the equalizer.

1:24: Oilers pull their goaltender for an extra attacker.

2.3: Oilers run out of luck. Final shot count, 30-28 for the Canucks.
