FIRST PERIOD

20:00: Let's get it! There are going to be so many fan cheering battles tonight!

18:40: Andrei Markov get the fist chance to check out the penatly box. Opps.

16:39: Following an odd man rush Brandon Prust hits Ben Scrivens and the Oilers go on the PP once more.

15:53: Justin Schultz bails out Edmonton following an odd man rush!

14:04: Jesse Joensuu, nooooo! After getting tangled on the boards with a Canadien, the official decides it's Montreal's turn to get a man advantage.

9:39:  For the second time the Oilers go on the defensive.  Two minutes for tripping for Mark Fayne. Weak.

9:29: Karma. Montreal's David Desharnais gets the lumber up too high.  4-on-4.

5:04: Madness! Gallagher hit by Desharnais, the rebound is put in the back of the net but the ref waves it off immediately.  Says Scrivens was interfered with.  Look below because this kerfuffle is hard to describe.

19:41: Hello, Benoit! Pouliot scores his first as an Oiler.  Showing his softer side a gorgeous pass from Arcobello to put the Oil in front! | EDM 1, MTL 0

0.0: PK Subban, with perhaps not the best judgement call.  Takes a tripping penalty as time expires.  Edmonton takes a one goal lead, a one shot deficit into the second frame.

INTERMISSION ENTERTAINMENT: The Oilers went to CFB Wainwright and got to shoot some tanks! WATCH HERE.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00: This game though!

16:14: A little late on the uptake for me but Chris Wescott knows what's up: FYI:

13:27: Mark Faynes shot misses the net but Pouliot get the pass in front to Nail Yakupov (2)! | EDM 2, MTL 0

13:06: How Yak feels on the inside:

11:26: Couldn't keep him away, Hendy re-joins the "fourth" line.

9:02: Jordan Eberle takes a seat, high sticking and Montreal head on the attack.

7:02: Oilers allow just one single shot on the PK.

0.0:  A bit quite on the blog front because man this game is inthralling! Oilers with a solid offensive zone presence in the second.  Via Chris Wescott: Ference with a couple of solid plays on the rush thus far.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00: Happy Birthday Leon! Draisaitl is way ahead of the curve tonight, winning 83% of his faceoffs. P.s. Oh, internet. Who ever made this is a genius.

19:11: Alexei Emelin gets two minutes for roughing.

11:22:  Oilers keeping play in Montreal's zone but shots still favour the Canadiens 24-15 with half of the third remaining.

10:35: Not quite sure what they are saying, because I'm not fluent in french, but the Montreal fans here at Rexall do not seem pleased that Desharnais is back in the box for tripping.

9:38: INCHES. Justin Schultz just inches away from extending the lead.

6:17: Marincin heads to the box for "playing with an illegal stick"...

4:10: The Oilers shot blocking is as intense as:

3:45: Ben Scrivens has stopped 29 shots thus far.

2:18:  Just what the doctor ordered. Taylor Hall(5) puts in the empty netter. | EDM 3, MTL 0

0.0: Oilers Nation be like:

Oilers seem to have their ducks in a row, FOUR in a row to be exact!
