Oilers circling the wagons for this one. Hendrick-Gordon-Klinkhammer take the opening draw.

17:38: As you could have probably guessed, this is going to be a quick game if the opening minutes are any indication.

So there is a reason that Nikitin won the hardest shot in the Oilers skills comp.  Just stunned Raanta with a clapper! BTW Hermione is Nikitin.

Nikitin turns the puck over at the blue line, leads to a 2-on-1. Jonathan Toews shot stopped but Brandon Saad (11)  pots the rebound.   | EDM 0, CHI 1

11:08: Didn't have to wait long for the bounce back. Benoit Pouliot (5) keeps with the puck and jams it in past Raanta.| EDM 1, CHI 1

While we enjoy a TV timeout, an update on the Barons topshelf season.

7:48: Chi town, man down. David Rundblad highsticking.

6:25: Oh boy, oh bouy Derek Roy! Teddy Purcell finds Roy streaking to the net for the PP goal! Oilers up now. | EDM 2, CHI 1

Matt Fraser rams into the official, play is blown dead. I'll give you one guess as to who that would have been worse for.

:35: Speaking of worse, Matt Hendricks gets a penatly for closing his hand on the puck to end the period.

ICYMI: True Blue is the new mini-documentary series from Oilers TV.

19:11: First period shot count 7-6 in favour of Edmonton.

14:13: Welp I call that deja vue.  This time though Hossa with the initial shot and Saad (12) again jumps on the rebound. | EDM 2, CHI 2

13:27: And JUST like last period the Oilers don't wait to answer. Jeff Petry (12) in off the blueline and knocks in the rebound. | EDM 3, CH 2

12:22: During the commercial break, Ference had a long chat with officials. A lot of shoulder shrugging.

11:29: Klinkhammer takes a seat and the Oilers are back on the PK.  Chicago has already scored once with the man advantage.

4:34: Scrivens steals one! Sprawled out, full starfish, Ben Scrivens just gets the tip of his toe on the puck.

2:00: Chicago's reaction to Scrivens' save:

Something to occupy your time until the final frame.

18:45: Tisk tisk Bryan Bickel, in the box bud.

17:50: Yakupov's backcheck breaks-up Chicago scoring chance.

15:30: Anton Lander is killing it in the face off circle, 6/6 in the first too! 100% F%. A+... literally.

8:00: Just a few minutes in the game, Hawks have picked up six shots this period (7 & 8 in the first and second) to the Oilers three.

6:06: Hall with a big hit, the wave makes it around Rexall four times, the Oilers faithful are feeling it!

3:45: Purcell pulled down, Fraser stopped on a 2-on-1, exciting stuff!

3:09: It was only a matter of time. Nail Yakupov (5) wheeling, goes backhand, top chedd on Raanta! | EDM 4, CHI 2

2:42: Chicago with the extra attacker.

2:26: Taylor Hall, we couldn't leave you out of the action. Flicks the fith marker! | EDM 5, CHI 2

0:00: All the feelings!! Oilers get the win, their 10th, and a standing O from the fans!
