14:07: A minute and 20 seconds later, Jordan Eberle pounced on a Klefbom rebound to poke it past Varlamov and double the Edmonton lead. | EDM 2, COL 0

12:00: Shots on goal are even at 6-6 eight minutes into the game.

10:24: Taylor Hall flicked a wrist shot from the left circle, beating Varlamov five hole and making it a 3-0 game. | EDM 3, COL 0

10:24: Varlamov was replaced in goal by Reto Berra. Varlamov stopped four of seven shots before getting the hook.

8:01: Martin Marincin heads to the box, giving Colorado the first power play of the night.

0.0: Shots on goal after one period were 14-8 for the Avalanche.

20:00: Period two has started.

16:52: Rob Klinkhammer gets two for tripping Joey Hishon, giving Colorado their second power play of the game.

16:01: With 1:09 left in the Klinkhammer penalty, Matt Hendricks goes off for tripping to give the Avs a two-man advantage.

15:26: Scrivens makes a really nice glove save off a one-time slapper from Jarome Iginla.

15:11: The Oilers announce that Mark Fayne will not return to the game due to a shoulder injury.

14:38: This time, Iginla coverts. His blast from about the same spot as the last one beats Scrivens and makes it a two-goal deficit. | EDM 3, COL 1

14:11: Oilers register only their second shot on Berra since he replaced Varlamov midway through the first.

10:30: Oilers rattle off six straight shots. It is now 20-14 for Colorado on the shot clock.

5:24: John Mitchell from the high slot wired a shot off the post behind Scrivens.

0.0: After two periods, shots are 33-21 for Colorado but Edmonton clings to the 3-2 lead.

20:00: The third period will start soon. Oilers announce that Matt Hendricks will not return to the game due to a back injury.

15:06: Colorado tied the game at 3-3. Justin Schultz gave the puck away to Tanguay who drew Scrivens towards him before dishing it to Ryan O'Reilly wide open at the top of the crease for the tap-in. | EDM 3, COL 3

12:16: Shots are 38-25 for Colorado with just over 12 minutes to go in the third.

10:53: John Mitchell heads to the box, giving the Oilers a chance to move back in the lead on the power play.

9:31: Oilers swarm the net and fired a multitude of shots on Berra but the Avs netminder made some spectacular stops to keep the game tied up.

9:18: Oilers finally get that goal. During another mad scramble, Derek Roy pounced on a loose puck in the crease and poked it across the goal line for the power play marker. | EDM 4, COL 3

7:20: Oilers are outshooting Colorado 12-7 in the period but Colorado has an overall edge in shots of 40-33.

7:04: Marincin takes a hooking penalty, as the Avs now get a chance of their own to pull back on even terms on the PP.

5:04: Penalty is killed off; Oilers don't allow a shot on goal.

1:00: Avalanche pull Berra for the extra attacker.
