Today’s game is now underway.

16:41: Jordan Eberle spotted Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in front of the net and RNH made no mistake, quickly netting it blocker side past Lundqvist to get Edmonton on the board early. Benoit Pouliot got the second assist. | EDM 1, NYR 0

12:46: Shots on goal just over seven minutes into the game were 7-1 for the Oilers.

9:41: Oilers nearly made it a two-goal game. Eberle made a great pass from the corner onto Nugent-Hopkins' stick. He redirected it and Lundqvist had to be very sharp to scoop the puck up with his glove.

7:26: Carl Hagelin peeled out from the corner before shooting the puck from the right circle. The puck deflected off Boyd Gordon's skate and in past Viktor Fasth to get the game on even terms. | EDM 1, NYR 1

3:12: Shots are 10-6 Oilers as the period starts to wind down.

46.6: Kevin Hayes took advantage of a turnover and cut in front of the net. Fasth had to make a good stop on the play.

0.0: Shots on goal after 20 minutes were 11-8 for Edmonton.

Second period has started.

19:26: Jordan Eberle gets two minutes for hooking early in the second to give the Rangers the game's first power play.

18:20: The best chance on the man advantage went to the penalty killers. Matt Hendricks gets a great opportunity to put the Oilers back in front after sneaking in behind the Rangers defence. Lundqvist was equal to the task, however.  12:09: Shots eight minutes into the second: 14-10 Edmonton.

11:31: Oilers finally connect after several minutes of great chances. Off the end boards, Nugent-Hopkins spots Benoit Pouliot speeding up the wing. He dishes it over to the former Ranger who makes no mistake, rifling the puck from the right circle for the goal. | EDM 2, NYR 1

9:41: Lundqvist makes a great stop on Schultz after a great feed from Pouliot while he was being hauled down by Marc Staal. No goal on the play, but Staal headed to the box, giving the Oilers their first man advantage of the night.

9:41: The goal was reviewed to ensure that it did not cross the goal line while in the glove of Lundqvist. Replays show that is indeed the case.

48.1: Oilers head back on the power play following a high-sticking penalty to Mats Zuccarello.

0.0: Shots on goal after two periods were 24-14 for the Oilers.

Third period has begun.

18:46: Oilers power play comes up empty but has several great looks and overall was very dangerous to start the period.

16:44: Hendricks drives to the net and is stopped by Lundqvist.

9:04: Shots are 28-14 for Oilers.

5:20: Shots are 30-18 now as the Rangers start to pour the pressure on in an effort to get the equalizer.

4:08: Chris Kreider takes a shot on net before running into Fasth at full tilt. Kreider gets two minutes for goaltender interference.

1:36: The Rangers looked to be headed on the power play after Ference cleared the puck out from his own zone but after collaboration it was ruled that the puck hit the top of the glass on its way out.

1:36: Rangers call a time out and keep their goaltender on the bench for the extra attacker.

1:27: Teddy Purcell scores into the empty net to seal the deal.
